 Dear Colleagues!

 

Shota Rustaveli Institute of Georgian Literature invites you to participate in the International Conference “Ilia Chavchavadze and his Epoch”, which will be held on November 8-9, 2007.

 

For Participation

It is desirable to present the reports concerning different spheres of Ilia Chavchavadze’s life and work (literary work, political life, social field, etc.), as well as historical, political and cultural peculiarities of his period.

Following Sessions will be Operating:

 

  1. Tradition and Contemporary Literary Processes
  2. XIX Century-Period for the Formation of  National and Cultural Consciousness
  3. Ilia Chavchavadze-Criticism and Publicism
  4. At the Beginnings of Intercultural Communications
  5. Literary Heritage of Ilia Chavchavadze

 

The following materials should be submitted to the organizational committee before June 30, 2007 by conference participants:

Application (application form can be accessed here);

Name of  the presentation, theses in English.

 

The presentations will be selected in terms of competition. (in total 50 reporters). The results of the selection procedure will be announced in the second Informational Communique.

Conference theses, programme and presentations will be published.

Working Language: Georgian, English.

It is possible to make presentation in Russian.

Language of the text - English;

Editing parameters: Ms Word for windows;

Page size –A-4;

Margins: top-bottom -2 cm; left-right-3 cm

Font- Times New Roman;

Font size-12;

Line spacing-1, 5;

Number of papers-1;

Please use no page numbers.

 

Format of English theses:

 

Title of the theme: Times New Roman, bold, 14, in capitals;

 Author: Times New roman, 12, in capitals, initials (before surname) and the surname of the author will be printed on the right; initials are printed without intervals in italic.

 Main text: Times New Roman, 12.
